Meritorious College was established in 2004 by the founder of Meritorious Education Network Dr. Safiuddin Siddiqui. It was then named as Meritorious Science College, because it had only two faculties namely, Inter Science (Pre-Engineering) and Inter Science (Pre-Medical). It is registered with Directorate of Private Institutions, Govt, of Sindh and also affiliated with Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi. In the year 2007, at the specific desire of residents of the locality, Commerce Faculty was also added as a part of our courses of studies. Now, from 2022, we have Computer Science also, which is a faculty of the General Group of Karachi Intermediate Board. We are an institution having Co-Education but with strict disciplinary rules and control. Our campus is located in PECHS, which is a housing society in the centre of the city. The College is fully equipped with Science and Computer Labs and has a fully stacked Library. We believe in hundred percent attendance of our students and follow a model of Continuous Assessment System with sharing of academic progress of the child with the parents. We have a highly qualified and professionally experienced faculty, as a result of which our students have always excelled in Board Examinations and have also earned positions on all Karachi basis. Our A-One and A Graders have always been more than the overall Karachi average. Indoor games, outdoor sports, annual picnics and extra-curricular activities are a regular feature. We observe all national and international days of remembrance and take part in various Inter Collegiate Competitions.
